About Me

I have always been fascinated by yoga and have explored many different styles with various teachers. As my passion for yoga has grown over the decades, it’s weaved its way into my life. I have delved deeper into the philosophy and now understand yoga to be far more than just the physical practice on the mat.

Over the years, I have learned and continue to develop a wide range of yoga practices including physical postures, breathwork and meditation. These techniques have become integral to my personal wellbeing and help me to live more comfortably within my own skin.

Yoga is certainly no quick fix, but when practised with awareness, it can be very effective at improving well-being. I am committed to my own spiritual journey and have found that the wisdom passed down through yoga tradition has a transformative impact on my life. Having found yoga practice and teachings so powerful, I want to share this knowledge and experience with others through teaching.

My Style of Yoga

I completed Vajrasati Yoga teacher training with Jim Tarren and Khadine Morcom, who run a two-year course. I qualified with Yoga Alliance Professionals Teacher Training Plus 500 RYS course, which is the highest accreditation available for a teacher training course.

Typically, I teach postures individually, so that there is time to fully explore what works, and gain the most benefit from each posture. I regularly use yoga props such as belts, blocks and bolsters to help you feel comfortable, supported, and stable, so your breath can open up naturally. This way you can move deeply into the meditative aspect of yoga, calming the nervous system and releasing tensions in your mind and body.

I teach postures at a steady pace, so you are unlikely to work up a sweat, but that does not mean classes are easy. There is plenty of opportunity to improve strength, flexibility, and balance and challenge the body in a dynamic way.

Vajrasati emphasizes yoga as an ongoing journey of spiritual development. I continue learning with ongoing study of the history and philosophy of yoga. I have a deep appreciation of the holistic nature of yoga and enjoy weaving philosophy into my teaching to deepen practitioners’ experience.

Very professional, mindful tutor, that demonstrates awareness, by recognising each individuals strengths and weaknesses throughout the session. Adjustments are made with yoga blocks and straps to maximize the clients ability to participate and benefit from the postures. Lucy has a very good sense of humour that creates positive atmosphere and energy, making the sessions light and pleasant. Always leave feeling rejuvenated.

Lucy is wonderful! I was lucky enough to discover reflexology fifteen years ago and have been enjoying Lucy’s sessions ever since. I found reflexology really helped during my pregnancies and after the births. They helped realign me when I was feeling stressed, or achy or if my body felt out of sorts. Not only are the treatments amazing, but Lucy herself has a wonderful warm and positive energy. I would highly recommend her. I’ve had a couple of other reflexology sessions on holidays and none have been anywhere near as good as Lucy!

Her love and expertise nurtured me through a pregnancy and a car accident where she had such a thoughtful and skilled approach to my hypermobility and injuries. I never thought I could receive warmth through Zoom but with Lucy it is possible.

I thoroughly recommend working with her both privately and in groups as she is excellent at modifying poses to suit your body and your mood. She has been very effective at helping me slow down my practice.

Lastly, if you’re lucky enough to live in London, her reflexology treatments are extremely relaxing, and may have been responsible for getting my contractions going when I was 9 months pregnant. Her love and respect for birth was a great source of comfort and courage at that time. Thank you 🙏
